And I'm back to discuss it again. I've never realized how stressful it can be to eat in a faculty lounge at work beyond the whole socializing part. I like the people in there but there is so much for your senses to take in when you are in that room.
1. First the smells. Holy crap, everyone brings the weird (adult) food they make at home with the different spices, veggies, and sauces and then they nuke it and it reeks! Sometimes so bad it makes me want to gag... okay that's extreme.
2. I recently discovered the oddness of food combination. I saw a person eating shredded carrots on cucumbers (maybe) ? These carrots were also on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
And of course you can't go without talking about the habits people have acquired while eating. That's where my misophonia comes in. So no don't bite your fork and have your mouth open when you chew or I will have to step away. Actually working has been good for my misphonia disorder and our marriage because Scott and I don't eat breakfast together and I don't have to listen to him chew.
And that concludes my problems with food... ah, thank you!
